Thank you for your interest in and support of The Forest Conservation Burial Ground. We opened The Forest in June of 2020 to provide a space to reconnect our experience of life and death with land conservation.

What sets The Forest apart?

The property of Willow-Witt Ranch has been stewarded for conservation, holding ecosystem health and function foremost in all our actions since 1985.

Our staff hand digs graves to protect the forest and soil health, carefully separating soil strata and preserving native plants. They attend all burials, are available to help as pallbearers, and carefully hand-close graves or assist families that choose to participate. We support our staff with living wages, paid time off, and retirement benefits.

Each burial is marked with an engraved bronze survey marker.

We are saving seed from our native plants to offer for replanting in the cemetery to continue our support of the forests.
The Forest Conservation Burial Ground has operated with the same pricing structure we set before opening.  It’s time to increase our prices to accommodate rising costs and to move forward toward sustainable development (think improved paths and toilets).
Many of you have toured the burial ground or inquired about purchasing plots. Pre-planning and pre-need plot purchase is a gift to our families. We hear regularly of the relief when people make this important purchase they’ve considered and have accomplished; now would be the time to consider making that purchase. We offer 2- or 3-year payment plans or a 5% discount for full payment at the time of purchase. The current rates will apply to all purchases or payment plans originated before March 15, 2024, when rates will increase. Call or email today to schedule an appointment; we can meet you at The Forest, come to you, or manage the entire purchase online.
We are proud to continue this good work for all the earth.
